Bryce Menzies Charges to Podium Finish at Brutal San Felipe 250
The 2026 SCORE San Felipe 250 delivered exactly what racers expected—deep whoops, endless rocks, brutal attrition, and one of the toughest opening rounds of the SCORE World Desert Championship in recent memory. Through it all, Bryce Menzies and the No. 7 Red Bull team battled their way to a hard-earned third-place finish in Trophy Truck competition.
Starting eighth on race day, Menzies immediately found himself fighting heavy dust and limited visibility through the opening miles of the 281-mile course. Despite the difficult conditions, he steadily worked his way through traffic, making decisive passes and capitalizing on strong pace through the notorious Matomi Wash.
By race mile 140, Menzies had worked himself into contention and was leading the race on corrected time. The team's strategy, combined with the speed of the Ford Raptor, put them in position to challenge for the overall victory as the race reached its midway point.
The momentum shifted late in the race when Menzies encountered a brake issue that left the truck operating with only the rear brake handle. Rather than backing down, he adapted his driving style and continued pushing through the punishing terrain while managing the mechanical problem. His ability to maintain pace despite the setback showcased the experience and determination that have made him one of desert racing's premier competitors.
As the field navigated the final miles, Luke McMillin ultimately secured the overall victory, with Tavo Vildósola finishing second. Menzies crossed the line in third after an impressive recovery drive that saw him overcome dust, traffic, and mechanical challenges throughout the day.
While the podium finish fell short of the team's goal of victory, the performance demonstrated the speed and competitiveness of the No. 7 program heading into the remainder of the SCORE season. On a course that claimed numerous contenders and tested every racer in the field, Menzies once again proved he has the pace to run at the front and contend for championships.
With valuable points secured and momentum on his side, Menzies left San Felipe positioned for another strong campaign as the SCORE championship battle continued toward the Baja 500.

Menzies and McMillin Battle to the Finish at the 2026 SCORE Baja 500
The 58th SCORE Baja 500 delivered one of the closest finishes in recent Baja history as Bryce Menzies and Andy McMillin teamed up in the No. 7 Red Bull Mason AWD TT to challenge for the overall victory in the grueling desert race.
Menzies started the race from the front of the Trophy Truck field after a strong qualifying performance and handed the truck over to Andy McMillin midway through the event first on the road. Together, the duo remained in contention throughout the day, battling wheel-to-wheel with Luke McMillin and defending Baja 500 winner Alan Ampudia.
As temperatures soared and the race entered its final miles, the fight for the lead intensified. Andy McMillin pushed the No. 7 truck to the limit, trading time with Luke McMillin in what competitors described as “full qualifying mode” through the closing sections of the course.
When the dust settled in Ensenada, Luke McMillin captured his first overall Baja 500 victory. Menzies and Andy McMillin brought the No. 7 truck home on the podium after an impressive all-day charge, finishing among the leaders in one of the most competitive Trophy Truck fields ever assembled.
Despite falling just short of victory, the performance showcased the speed, consistency, and determination of the Menzies-McMillin combination. Their effort kept fans on edge until the final miles and reinforced why both drivers remain among the elite competitors in SCORE Trophy Truck racing.
